“Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness: kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile.” - Mother Theresa
I love this picture, and I love this quote. It's such a great reminder that happiness can start with just one person. Today, I will try and smile more, and I will work on consciously being nicer to people!
Yesterday, the three youngers and I went over to my parents' house for Advent. We spent time playing games with the relatives, and then we did our traditional carol singing around the advent wreath. I really love how we have this tradition that prompts us to all get together on more than just Christmas Day.
When we returned home, Ariana and I finished watching The Big Bang Theory, and then we watched Guardians of the Galaxy 2. I was definitely underwhelmed by the Guardians movie. It moved very slowly, and about halfway through I felt like it was just dragging on forever.
Today, Ariana and I are going to go finish the Christmas shopping. I also need to get the downstairs of the house clean. Ideally, I will also get the girls' bedrooms clean and start working with Siera on her missing schoolwork. We'll see if I have the time (or energy) for all of that! Then, tonight, we have our traditional watching of The Polar Express while drinking expensive hot chocolate!
Christmas shopping went very well. We were able to find everything we needed without spending more than we could afford. Then I took Remington and Siera to the dollar store to do their Christmas shopping (although Remington ended up using some of the money I still owed him to buy a more expensive present for his daddy)!
